Who Will Be BJP’s CM Face for Delhi Polls? AAP Drops Hint Citing ‘Credible Sources’
Delhi CM Atishi targeted the BJP today for not announcing its chief ministerial candidate before the assembly election in Delhi.
Who Will Be BJP’s CM Face for Delhi Polls: Delhi CM Atishi targeted the BJP today for not announcing its chief ministerial candidate before the assembly election in Delhi. Atishi claimed that the national capital residents want to know who its CM face is. The Aam Aadmi Party's candidate from Kalkaji reiterated that if AAP wins the February election, Arvind Kejriwal will become chief minister.
Atishi, who became the chief minister herself when Arvind Kejriwal resigned because he was imprisoned last year, says that Kalkaji rival Ramesh Bidhuri will be the BJP candidate for CM. Former BJP MP Bidhuri became embroiled in a big controversy recently after he stated that he would make roads in Kalkaji that would be as smooth as Priyanka Gandhi's cheek.

"Today, the entire Delhi is asking from the 'Galli-Galoch' party who its CM face is. The people of Delhi know that by voting for AAP, Arvind Kejriwal will become the CM. But they are asking who will be BJP's CM face," Atishi said.
He, however, withdrew his statement after it led to a row. The BJP and the AAP are currently at loggerheads, with the latter accusing Kejriwal of manipulating the Delhi voter list.
“BJP's Core Committee meeting is underway and this evening they will hold their parliamentary board meeting. Through credible sources, we have found that the 'Galli-Galoch' party has decided that its CM face will be the one leader who hurls the most abuses, which is Ramesh Bidhuri,” Atishi added.
Arvind Kejriwal yesterday met senior officials of the Election Commission and accused them of deleting genuine voters' names, stating that they were calling into the electoral lists fake voters. He also accused his New Delhi constituency rival, Parvesh Verma, of distributing money.
BJP protests against Arvind Kejriwal
On Friday, BJP workers marched protesting over Ashoka Road to Arvind Kejriwal's residence: 'Purvanchal Samman March' in protest against his comments with respect to the Purvanchalis.
"Arvind Kejriwal and AAP have a history of disrespecting the people from UP, Bihar, Jharkhand...How did you (Arvind Kejriwal) dare to call people from UP, Bihar, Jharkhand as fake...The promises of Arvind Kejriwal and AAP are fake...The people of Purvanchal will take revenge on 5th February," BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said at a press conference.
The assembly election of Delhi is a single-phase poll that would happen on February 5, with February 8 reserved for results.
