Schools in Noida-Greater Noida, Ghaziabad have been given a holiday. All government and private schools up to class VIII in Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed on Friday due to rain. At the same time, corporate and private offices in Gurugram have been advised to do work from home. In many districts of UP, orders have been given to close schools up to class VIII today. One day holiday has been given in some districts and two days in many districts.

Due to rain throughout the day in Delhi-NCR, water was flooded at many places. People had to face a lot of problems due to water logging. Long jams were seen in Gurugram and Noida. The fares of cabs and autorickshaws also shot up due to the rains. The Delhi Municipal Corporation received complaints of waterlogging in Fatehpur Beri, Sangam Vihar and Tikri villages due to rain while seven complaints were received of uprooting of trees.

The Delhi Traffic Police helpline received 23 calls related to traffic jams, seven related to waterlogging and two calls regarding uprooting of trees. Officials said that calls related to traffic jams were received on the way from Khajuri Chowk, Goyla Dairy, Yamuna Bridge, Outer Ring Road, Paschim Vihar, Rohini Sector-8, Hanuman Mandir Pusa Road, Azad Market, Dwarka Flyover, Dhaula Kuan to Gurugram. . He said that waterlogging was reported from AIIMS flyover, Rajdhani Park to Mundka, Nigambodh Dhat, Mayapuri flyover and other places. He said that there was information about uprooting of trees from Burari and Abai road.

The fresh rains just before the withdrawal of monsoon from the National Capital Region will help in making up the shortfall in rainfall to some extent. Due to this the air will also be clean and the temperature will also be controlled. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal. The air quality index was recorded at 65 (satisfactory category) at 4 pm.
