Both Kohli and Pant hit half-centuries in the second T20I against the West Indies on Friday as India took an eight-run win to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. "Yes, both Kohli and Pant left for home on Saturday morning as India has already won the series," a senior board official said on the condition of anonymity.
The Indian team for the Sri Lanka series will be selected today. Both Kohli and Pant will return to the squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka. The two Tests against Sri Lanka will be played in Mohali (March 4-8) and Bengaluru (March 12-16). Apart from experts like Mayank Agarwal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Hanuma Vihari, Kohli and Pant will enter a biologically safe environment in Chandigarh towards the end of the month.
