Uttar Pradesh News : Basic-Secondary Education Department will be under DG Education, Yogi Adityanath cabinet approved
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has given green signal to a big proposal regarding the education department. In the state, now the Basic and Secondary Education Department will be under the Director General School Education (Basic and Secondary Education Department Merged).
In the cabinet meeting of the Uttar Pradesh government at Lok Bhavan on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a big decision regarding the education department was approved. The post of Director General Education has been increased in the state. 23 proposals were placed in the cabinet meeting on Thursday, out of which 22 have been approved.
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has given green signal to a big proposal regarding the education department. In the state, now the Basic and Secondary Education Department will be under the Director General School Education (Basic and Secondary Education Department Merged). Till now these two departments have separate directors. So far, Sarita Tiwari is the acting director of the secondary education department in the state, while the basic education department also has an acting director Shubha Singh.
The Yogi Adityanath cabinet has put its stamp on the big decision regarding the education department of the state. The Director General of Education will now be the head of the Education Department. An IAS officer is posted on this post. Departmental officers are promoted to the post of Director of Secondary and Basic Education Department and become the head of the department. Now it has been changed. Along with Basic Education, now the Directorate under the Department of Secondary Education will also be under the Director General School Education.
