The aspirants who have cleared the preliminary round of the examination will appear for the Mains Examination. However the exponential rise in the number of cases triggered by the Omnicron variant has raised some questions regarding conduction of the examination.
The matter was mentioned today by Advocate Anushree Kapadia before a Division Bench led by Chief Justice DN Patel. A permission regarding urgent listing was presented and it has been approved for Urgent Listing tomorrow. The petitioner candidates are the ones who have cleared their prelims examinations have said that there is an imminent risk of them getting infected and also a risk of losing out their valuable attempt to appear in the examination.
The plea states that the conduct of the UPSC CSE 2021 (Mains) Examination in the present schedule, is arbitrary and violative of fundamental rights of the candidates.
