The UPSC CSE has recommended a total of 1,016 candidates for appointment and kept 240 candidates in the consolidated reserve list.
Get To Know The Top 5 Candidates Who Topped The UPSC Exam: The result of the 2023 civil service examination of the Union Public Service Commission result was announced on Tuesday, two women students from Telangana and Haryana made it to the top five.
The top position was taken by Aditya Srivastava from Lucknow, followed by Animesh Pradhan from Odisha, Donuru Ananya Reddy from Telangana in third, P K Sidharth Ramkumar from Kochi came fourth, and at last Ruhani from Haryana secured the five positions.
The UPSC CSE has recommended a total of 1,016 candidates for appointment and kept 240 candidates in the consolidated reserve list. UPSC has also kept the result of a total of 355 candidates as provisional. The candidates can check their results by visiting the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in and also on upsconline.nic.in.
PM Narendra Modi posted on 'X'congratulating the candidate on scoring good marks. He said "I want to tell those who didn’t achieve the desired success in the Civil Services Examination- setbacks can be tough, but remember, this isn't the end of your journey. There are chances ahead to succeed in Exams, but beyond that, India is rich with opportunities where your talents can truly shine. Keep striving and exploring the vast possibilities ahead. Wishing you all the very best.”
The Top 5 Candidates Who Topped The UPSC Exam
Ajay Srivastava: Rank 1
Aditya Srivastava who secured Rank 1 is from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, he passed out of class 12th by scoring 98% at City Montessori School (CMS), Aliganj branch in Lucknow.
Srivastava's father Ajay Srivastava is very proud of him, he said seeing his son score Rank 1 makes their dream come true. He said "It is a matter of happiness for us. He fulfilled our dream which we have dreamt since his childhood. It was the result of his hard work and God's blessings. Earlier, he had given (UPSC Civil Service) exam in 2021,"
Srivastava has a B.Tech degree in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur and also has worked at Goldman Sachs, an investing banking company in Bengaluru for 1 year and 3 months.
He is currently doing IPS training at Hyderabad Police Academy.

Animesh Pradhan: Rank 2
Animesh Pradhan came at Rank 2 and is from Odisha, he is 24 years old. As a software engineer, Mr. Pradhan graduated from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in 2021.
Last month, his mother, Aruna Patra, who was previously employed at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, also passed away. He lost his father, Pravakar Pradhan, a few years ago.
He believed that determination was more powerful than formal coaching for the civil service examination.
At present, he is an Information System Officer at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a public sector company.
Donuru Ananya Reddy: Rank 3
Donuru Ananya Reddy obtained Rank 3 in the civil service examination 2023, she is from Telangana. She did her graduations in BA(Honours) in geology from Delhi University’s Miranda House College.
Her dream is to join IAS due to the variety of work experiences she will have the opportunity to participate in.

P K Sidharth Ramkumar: Rank 4
P K Sidharth Ramkumar who came in Rank 4 is from Kochi, Kerala. This was his fifth attempt at the civil service examinations, although he was selected twice for IPS in 2021 and 2022 his dream was to join the Indian Administrative Service(IAS).
Ramkumar parent's said that Sidharth was appearing for the exam for the fifth time, they came to know about it from television.
Presently, just like Aditya Srivastava, he is also undergoing IPS training at Hyderabad Police Academy.
Ruhani: Rank 5
Having achieved the coveted All India Rank (5 AIR) 5 in the UPSC CSE 2023 final results, Ruhani's achievement stands out as a true beacon of inspiration.
In 2017, Ruhani graduated from the prestigious St. Stephens College in Delhi with a BA in Economics. She completed her post-graduate degree in Economics at IGNOU in 2019.
The Indian Economic Services Officer worked at NITI Ayog for two years before qualifying for the prestigious Civil Services Exam and being selected as an IPS officer.
