Prime Minister Modi attacked Akhilesh Yadav and his family without naming the Samajwadi Party in Gorakhpur. PM Modi said, "Red cap people have been mean by red beacon. Red hat people have to form government, terrorists But to show mercy, to get the terrorists out of jail." PM Modi further said, "Remember, there is a red alert for UP with a red cap, that is, there are alarm bells."
On the other hand, in response to the PM's red alert statement, Akhilesh Yadav said, "'Red alert' for BJP is 'Lal Topi', because it will throw BJP out of power this time."
