Understand Chronology of Church Attacks in Haryana

36-year-old Gurudev has been celebrating Christmas with his family and friends for the last 18 years with great pomp - he keeps lunches for people on that day, dresses up like Santa and celebrates happiness by singing and dancing.

Gurudev is a Dalit. When he was a teenager, he was so impressed by the teachings of Jesus Christ that he converted to Christianity along with his family. But Gurudev insists that he is not associated with any organized form of religion. He calls himself a follower of Jesus or Jesus Christ.

But the Christmas of 25 December 2021 was different from every year. Very different from the way Gurudev and his family organize for the neighbors and the children of the locality on Christmas day. Gurudev tells that such an attack by hoodlums on Christmas which had never happened before.

Gurudev and a few others had organized a small program on Christmas Day at Shine Avenue, a local party hall. There was a dance performance by the children, and then a aloo-puri lunch.
