Trees fell due to storm in Tanakpur of Champawat, two died
The storm that came to Tanakpur on Thursday evening caused great destruction around 7:30 am, a huge tree of pakkar fell on the road near Bhatt Building on Railway Station Road.
On Thursday evening, two people died on the spot after being buried under a giant tree of Pankad that fell on the railway station road due to the storm in Tanakpur. Six people were injured there. After the information, the police and fire team reached the spot and started the rescue. After much effort, the other injured along with two dead bodies were pulled out by cutting down the tree. It is being told that after the darshan of Mother Poornagiri, these people were going to the railway station to go home by train.

Due to its grip, Mohit Kashyap (17) son Ved Prakash Kashyap, resident Sanjay Nagar Bareilly and Mohammad Umar (62) son Chhidda Umar, resident of Neuriya Pilibhit died painfully on the spot.
Apart from this, Mohammad Hanif 65 son of Chheda resident of Neuriya Pilibhit, Paras 18 son Anil Kashyap resident Sanjay Nagar Bareilly, Jabbar Hussain 30 son Maqsood Hussain resident Manihargoth, Himanshu Tiwari 17 son Ishwari resident Shyamlal, Kunal son resident railway station, Subhan 18 son Nanhe resident of Ward No 3, Tanakpur got injured.
Tehsildar Pinky Arya also reached the spot. The administration took the injured to the hospital for treatment. The poles came down along with the transformer when the tree fell in the power line. Due to which darkness fell on the spot and it was difficult to rescue.
