According to the forecast issued by IMD, hot winds will continue to blow in the country's capital Delhi and today the temperature can go up to 44 degrees, while the minimum will be 25.8 degrees above normal. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 304 at around 9 am today.
The Meteorological Department said that parts of West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Jammu, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telangana and Odisha are battling hot winds. According to the department, hot winds will continue to blow over central and north-west India for the next five days, while in the eastern part of the country, the heat will continue for the next three days.
