Corona cases are increasing rapidly in China, South Korea, Japan and other countries of East Asia as well as many countries of Europe. A senior official said that even though the situation of corona infection in India is at its best in the last 22 months and it is showing a steady decline. But the rapid increase in infection in other countries is a cause for concern.
In Wednesday's review meeting, Scientific Adviser to the Government of India K Vijayraghavan, NITI Aayog member Dr VK Pal, ICMR Director General Dr Balram Bhargava, AIIMS Delhi Director Dr Randeep Guleria, National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) Director SK Singh, National Dr NK Arora, Head, Technical Advisory Group on Immunization, and Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan along with other senior officials were present. The meeting lasted for about an hour and a half.
