The demand for jobs in the retail sector decreased by 12 percent, the condition did not improve even after the cases of corona decreased

The demand for retail jobs in the country has decreased by 11.8 percent in the last one year. This has been claimed in the report of a job website. It has been told in the report that after the arrival of Corona, the demand for retail jobs has not reached the pre-Covid level.
Global job website 'Indeed' has recently released a report, which states that between August 2021 and August 2022, there has been a decrease of 11.80 percent in retail job searches. Along with this, it has been told that in the last three years (August 2019- August 2022) there has been an overall decline of 5.5 percent in retail job search. Retail job search during the Corona pandemic saw a 27.70 percent increase between August 2020 and August 2021, but again this year saw a decline during the same period.
The report said that in the retail sector, the highest number of jobs are branch manager, 22.9 percent, 10.07 percent jobs sales associate, 9.52 percent jobs store manager, 4.58 percent jobs logistics associate and 4.58 percent of merchandiser jobs. However, in terms of job seekers, the demand for store managers is 15 percent, retail sales associates 14.4 percent, cashiers 11 percent, branch managers 9.49 percent and logistics associates 9.08 percent.
