The Chairman Of Bajaj Group 'Rahul Bajaj' Passed Away At The Age Of 83

Rahul Bajaj, former chairman of Bajaj Group, passed away on Saturday in Pune. He was battling cancer for the past several years. However, no official announcement has been made about this by the group yet. Many people have paid tribute to him on social media.

Veteran industrialist Rahul Bajaj had resigned as the chairman of Bajaj Auto on April 29 last year. He left the post citing his age. He was in this position since 1972. Rahul Bajaj was given the role of Chairman Emirates of the company. Neeraj Bajaj, director on the board of Bajaj Auto, was made the non-executive chairman of the company.

The company, in a notice to the stock exchange, said that Rahul Bajaj has contributed immensely to the success of the company and the group over the past five decades. In view of this, the company has decided to make him Chairman Emirates for a period of 5 years with effect from May 1, 2021.
