Tendulkar goes into home quarantine after tested positive for COVID-19
Legendary cricketer and former India captain Sachin Tendulkar took social media to confirm that he has tested positive for COVID-19, on Saturday. The cricket legend has 'mild symptoms' and therefore is currently in home isolation as advised by the doctors.

The cricket legend has 'mild symptoms' and therefore is currently in home isolation as advised by the doctors. Tendulkar on Twitter posted that: "I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure COVID is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative."
Further, the former India captain expresses his gratitude to all the healthcare professionals for their constant support. "I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country," he said.

Presently, there have been 36,902 new cases with 17,019 recoveries and 112 deaths, and 2,82,451 active cases in Maharashtra.

Sachin Tendulkar is one of the biggest names to get in contact with the deadly novel coronavirus in recent times. A source close to the Tendulkar family told PTI that "Tendulkar has got himself tested and the report has come out positive. And therefore he has isolated himself and is following all the necessary protocols," on Saturday.
As the captain of the India Legends team, Sachin Tendulkar recently won the Road Safety World Series after beating Sri Lanka Legends in the finals of the tournament, in Raipur. Featuring some of the biggest names of cricket including Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tilakaratne Dilshan, Jonty Rhodes to name a few, the tournament was played to spread awareness about road safety measures. And with the highest score of 65, Tendulkar scored 223 in 7 matches in the Road Safety World Series.
Indeed, Tendulkar proceeds to hold the record for scoring the most runs in Test and ODIs. In fact, the legendary cricketer has amassed 15921 runs in 200 Tests at an average of 53.79. Further, he scored 18426 runs at an average of 44.83, in 463 ODIs. And, he is the only cricketer to play 200 Test matches and also score 100 international centuries across formats - 51 in Tests, 49 in ODIs.
