SpiceJet's Delhi-Dubai flight had to land in Karachi due to faulty lights
According to the airline, the passengers landed safely after the plane landed in Karachi, during which no emergency was declared.
A SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Dubai had to divert towards Karachi today due to a fault in the indicator light. This information was given by the spokesperson of the airline. An airline spokesperson said, "Flight SG-11 (Delhi-Dubai) of SpiceJet's B737 aircraft was diverted towards Karachi on 5 July 2022 due to a fault in the indicator light. The aircraft landed safely in Karachi and the passengers were evacuated. Evacuated safely.
No emergency was declared during this and the plane made a normal landing. There were no reports of pre-flight malfunction. An alternate flight is being diverted to Karachi and passengers will be sent to Dubai . "
The incident came to light two days after returning to Delhi after smoke filled the cabin of SpiceJet Q400 airline flying from Delhi to Jabalpur. The plane was at an altitude of 5000 feet when the crew first saw smoke and the smoke alarm sounded when the flight reached an altitude of 14 thousand feet, the smoke started rising. After this he informed the Air Traffic Control and sought help. Later the flight was brought back to Delhi. After the safe landing, all the passengers were deboarded. Earlier on June 19, a Delhi-bound SpiceJet flight with 185 passengers on board had to make an emergency landing in Patna soon after takeoff as its left engine caught fire after hitting a bird.
