SP Maurya, who allegedly gave a hate speech in 2014 faces an arrest warrant right after quitting the BJP Government

Swami Prasad Maurya did the same. Mr Maurya left the Yogi Adityanath led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh now faces arrest over a hate speech he allegedly made in 2014. A warrant for his arrest has been put out in Sultanpur merely a day after resignation.
Reportedly when he made the statement, he was associated with the Mayawati led BSP government. In a public gathering, SP Maurya made the following statement."Goddess Gauri or Lord Ganesha should not be worshipped during weddings. It is a conspiracy by upper caste-dominated system to mislead and enslave Dalits and backward castes. " He was called in to appear before the Court today but he remained absent from there.
In a recent News Interview, SP Maurya said that his exit has caused an earthquake in the BJP. He also added that as of now, he had just quit as a minister. He will be exiting from the BJP soon. When asked which political party will he be joining, he didn't say much, but said that he won't be joining Samajwadi Party.
