South West Delhi Police nabbed Mewati Auto lifter, recovered stolen Honda
The team of Police Post Safdurjung Hospital under Safdurjung Enclave police station, South West District have arrested one desperate Mewati auto lifter and recovered one stolen Motorcycle Honda Shine along with equipment that they used to commit the crime.

“The police team was carrying out a surprise inspection for the prevention of motor vehicle theft in Safdurjung Hospital area on 01/02/2022. The team arrested a 20-year-old person named Hasim, who is a resident of village Kanchner in Rajasthan,” Gaurav Sharma, DCP, South West District, New Delhi, said.
He added, “The team was supervised by ACP VKPS Yadav and led by Inspector Shailender Tomar who is SHO of Safdurjung Enclave, South West District. Other members were SI Narinder Sehrawat, ASI Subhkaran and HC Kanahiya.”
After a close watch on Picket opposite Gate No 7 of Safdarjung Hospital, one desperate Mewati auto lifter was nabbed. A Vehicle Checking team checked the vehicle at Ring Road and the above mentioned accused person was arrested along with a HONDA SHINE Motorcycle stolen from South Avenue.
From his possession, equipment’s used in the theft was also recovered. He disclosed that he lifted this vehicle from Charak Palika Hospital, Moti Bagh in the area of South Campus on 2/12/21.
During the course of an investigation, it came to light that Hasim used to come along with his other associates by bus from Bharatpur. After that in their modus operandi, they used to steel Bikes and sell these bikes at Bharatpur for Rs 5000 -7000.
