South West Delhi Police arrested a snatcher involved in 30 cases

A team comprising Anti snatching cell Sub Inspector Mukesh, Assistant Sub Inspector Bachchu Singh, Constables Nandkishor and Naveen under the overall supervision of ACP Abhinedra Jain Operations South West nabbed two active snatchers along with one snatched mobile phone and one scooty which they used to commit the crime. They have been identified as Sanju@Sanjeev and Atul@ Sunny.

On 28/01/2022, a case of snatching was registered at Sagarpur police station. the complainant alleged that when he was going to market and reached near Gali No 12 Indra Park, two boys came from behind on scooty and snatched his mobile phone and ran away.

"The team worked relentlessly on this case and with the help of CCTV cameras and local intelligence, two snatchers were apprehended by the team. Both the accused persons are drugs addicts and to fulfil their drug needs, they use to snatch mobile phones. Accused Sanju@Sanjeev has been previously found involved in thirty criminal cases of snatching/theft," Gaurav Sharma, DCP, South West District, New Delhi, said.
