Small savings schemes of Post Office- From PPF to senior citizen to Sukanya Samriddhi, see the interest rates for the third quarter of 2021-22
Public Provident Fund and National Savings Certificate will resume to carry on an annual interest rate of 7.1 percent and 6.8 percent respectively.
The Narendra Modi government has kept the interest rates on small savings schemes which have- NSC, PPF Senior Citizen, Sukanya Samriddhi- unchanged for the third quarter of 2021-22. PPF and NSC will carry on to an annual interest rate of 7.1 percent and 6.8 percent respectively.
The interest rate on the five-year senior citizens' savings scheme will continue at 7.4 percent. The interest on the senior citizens’ scheme is paid quarterly. The interest rate on savings deposits will resume being 4 percent per annum. Term deposits of one to five years will fetch interest rates in the range of 5.5-6.7 percent which is to be paid quarterly while the interest rate on five-year recurring deposits will get a higher interest of 5.8 percent.
