Interrogation of Nihangs accused in remand has become a headache for Sonipat police officers. They have repeatedly changed their statements before the SIT, sometimes engaging in yes-no-no. The accused Nihangs have refused to recognize their comrades. Now the main accused Sarabjit has also turned away from the information given earlier to the police.

After the murder of Lakhbir, the Nihangs themselves made the videos viral. After the arrest of four Nihangs based on the video, a stampede broke out among them. Most of the Nihangs seen in the video have disappeared from the Kundli border. The SIT has identified around 24-25 Nihangs based on the video. His photos have been taken out.
