Yaariyan actor Himansh Kohli comes out in Shilpa Shetty’s support as she gets trolled after Raj Kundra’s arrest.
Ever since Raj Kundra got arrested in the pornography case, trolls have been targeting his wife and actor Shilpa Shetty. Recently, Shilpa filed a defamation case against several media houses and social media pages. Shetty also released a statement saying that she's a law-abiding citizen and wants people to respect her family's privacy.
While the biggies from the Bollywood industry are mum, some of them have come out and lent their support to Shilpa Shetty. R Madhavan and Hansal Mehta are a few who stood for the actor and slammed those who are tarnishing her name. Now, actor Himansh Kohli has come out in her support.
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Yaariyan actor Himansh Kohli said, "The industry is a safe and open space for everyone. We have not only accepted but celebrated actors like Sunny Leone. I don't really know the real picture behind this case, but it's dreadful that Shilpa Shetty, who is so renowned, loved and respected, is being dragged into all this. I just hope the mess gets sorted for their family soon."
The Ranchi Diaries actor also shared his views on the topic of pornography. Himansh Kohli says that it should remain banned in India. He adds, "If the government ever thinks about making a change to the laws it should be strictly regulated. I think it's not right to share such videos, even if it's with your friends."
Talking about Shilpa Shetty's first reaction post Raj Kundra's arrest, she had shared her statement on social media. In her statement, the Hungama 2 actor mentioned, "MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity ‘Never complain, never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary."
