Shakeela: Richa Chadha is at her sensuous best

Scheduled to release on December 25 in cinema halls across the country in five different languages, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer Shakeela is expected to impress the film buffs.

At least that’s what the response of its trailer suggests.

The movie’s trailer was released on the internet on December 17 and it has received a very good response from the viewers.

A day later, one of its songs, Tera Ishq Satave, was released to keep the momentum on. The song has once again generated a huge response on social media platforms and websites.

The peppy and foot-tapping song from the movie has portrayed Richa Chadha in glamour and a sensuous manner. Her sizzling moves has left her fan mesmerized and speechless.

Both the trailer and the song have been released in five languages, ie, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

In the movie, Richa played the character of Shakeela, a famous film actress in the southern film industry who courted controversies for her bold and revealing appearances in adult movies.

"It is a film inspired by life events of a famous star Shakeela who predominantly starred in southern cinema. She starred in many controversial and bold films,” the filmmakers said in a statement released with the trailer.

It added, “Making her debut at a young age of 16, she went on to star in about 250 films. She was a major star in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Such was her aura that, stars back then used to avoid releasing their films opposite her."

The movie was directed by Indrajit Lankesh. This is for the second time that the two actors are working together as lead characters.

Their first co-starred movie, Masaan, was released in 2015 and was critically-acclaimed for their performances.

Ester Noronha, Rajeev Pillai, and Sheeva Rana are other co-stars of the movie Shakeela.
