Russia announces ceasefire in Kyiv

After ten days of fighting in Ukraine, Russia has finally agreed to ceasefire. It has been announced by Russia. Russia has even said that it will now help to rescue the people trapped there on humanitarian grounds. Earlier it was said that the Russian army had come very close to Kyiv. This ceasefire will be from 9 am to 4 pm today.

Evacuation of people from Ukraine's port city Maripol has started from 11 o'clock. There are about four and a half lakh people here. At the same time, there are about 21 thousand people in Volnovakha. After the attack, there has been a severe shortage of water and electricity in both these cities. The temperature in Ukraine is extremely low, due to which people are facing problems.

People in Kyiv have been alerted in view of the possibility of a Russian air strike in Ukraine. It has been said that wherever they see the shelter near them, they go and hide there. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied reports that he has left the country.

The agency quoted the US Secretary of State as saying that the US is ready for talks with Russia provided it leads to some solution. In an interview given to the BBC, Foreign Minister Antony Blinken has said that if Russia also thinks in the same way and wants to solve the issues, then America will also like to have a conversation with them.
