The woman, along with her husband and son, apparently boarded the wrong long-distance train. Later, when the train started to move, the woman tried to get off the plane, but in the meantime she fell on the platform. An RPF Jawyan immediately rushed there and prevented the woman from slipping into the space between the moving train and the platform, the official said.
Others on the platform praised the jawan for his courage and presence of mind. Subsequently, Central Railroad public relations chief Shivaji Sutar tweeted: “Shri SR Khandekar, member of the Railroad Protection Force (RPF), saved the life of a pregnant woman. Emergency train at Kalyan station today. train, ”he added.
