Ranbir Kapoor Becomes Pallbearer: Deb Mukherjee, a bygone-day film actor, and father of Ayan Mukerji, passed away on Friday morning at the ripe age of 83. Ranbir Kapoor, who was staying in Alibaug, rushed to his friend Ayan's railway station. Rogging a Pallbearer with another friend, he shed shoulders bearing Deb's corpse on funeral day.
A new picture circulated on an Insta account depicts Ranbir alongside many other men of the family. The men walked aboard a stretcher with Deb's body draped in white cloth. Ranbir, clearly visible, was dressed in a white shirt and denim.

Having come to know of Deb's passing, the actor had left for town with his wife Alia Bhatt, coming down from Alibaug. Ayan and Ranbir are thick of friends in Bollywood having worked together in Wake Up Sid, Yejawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva. Recently, during an event marking Alia's birthday, Ranbir revealed they were supposed to kick off work for Brahmastra: Part Two. At present, Ayan is busy directing War 2.
Actors are arriving at Ayan's house since the early hours to pay their last respects, including Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Jaya Bachchan, and so on.
According to a spokesperson, complications due to old age led to the death of Deb at the age of 83 on Friday morning. He was a much-respected member of the Samarth-Mukherjee family, the father of film director Ayan Mukherji and father-in-law to director Ashutosh Gowariker.
Ranbir was last seen in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor is currently filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War. Coming up for him is the sequel to Animal, called Animal Park, and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
