Ranbir-Alia Wedding Live: Mehendi on the hands of bride Alia; Sangeet ceremony to be held in the night

The wedding rituals of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have started today. At 2 pm, Pitru Puja was performed in the memory of late Rishi Kapoor and all the ancestors at Ranbir's Pali Hill home 'Vastu Apartment', which was attended by the family members of both. This was followed by Ganesh Puja. Now Mehndi has also been applied in the hands of bride Alia. Its hint is given by his sister Pooja Bhatt. A photo of her is viral, in which she is seen flaunting mehndi.

After the Mehndi Ceremony, now the couple will have the Sangeet Ceremony in the night. There is a lot of movement of guests for pre-wedding festivities. After the ceremony, Ranbir-Alia can again tie the knot on April 14 according to Punjabi customs.

After applying Mehendi on Alia's hands, Karan Johar started crying. He considers her his daughter. The song 'Dilbaro' from Alia's film 'Raazi' was played in the Mehndi Ceremony. The couple's family will decide the date of the grand reception today. Alia and Ranbir can make an official announcement of the wedding date today. Ranbir's uncle Randhir Kapoor has left for Goa to attend the wedding.

Pre-wedding ceremonies like Puja, Haldi-Mehndi, Sangeet, and only their family members, close friends, and some celebs will attend the wedding. It is being said that only 28 guests have been invited to this intimate wedding. Tight security arrangements have also been made for the wedding.
