Rajasthan: Intruder from Pakistan arrested, Conspired to Kill Nupur Sharma, 11 Inch Knife Recovered

BSF arrested a Pakistani national who was trying to infiltrate India by crossing the International Border in Rajasthan. He had come here to kill former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. In search of the accused, many suspicious items were found from him. BSF jawans have seized an 11-inch long knife, maps, and other items from him. The accused Rizwan Ashraf (24) is a resident of the Bahauddin district of Punjab province of Pakistan. He is being questioned by a joint team of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and Military Agency.

Late on July 16, BSF jawans were caught entering the Indian territory at the Khakhan check post in the Hindumalkot sector adjoining the Sriganganagar district. When the BFF team questioned him, he could not give the correct information. On being searched, an 11-inch knife and a small knife were also recovered from his possession. Along with this, maps, religious books, clothes, and food items have also been found.

During the interrogation of intelligence agencies, the infiltrator Rizwan Ashraf told that he had come here with the intention of killing Nupur Sharma. He had also seen the viral video of Nupur Sharma on social media. On Nupur's statement, a meeting of Mullahs and Ulemas was organized in Mandi Bahauddin district of Pakistan. In which the statement of Nupur Sharma was condemned. Impressed by the statements of the Ulemas, he made a plan to kill Nupur and reached the Indian border. Sri Ganganagar SP Anand Sharma said that the police produced him in the local court, from where he has been sent on eight-day police remand.

Ashraf took the help of Google Map to fulfill the plan. He first wanted to enter India from his home Mandi Bahauddin via Lahore, but he could not succeed in infiltrating from Lahore. After which it was trying to enter India by crossing the Hindumalkot border of the district via Sahiwal. According to the plan, Pak infiltrator Rizwan was about to enter India and go to Ajmer Dargah from Sri Ganganagar. There was a plan to kill Nupur Sharma after she had covered the Ajmer Dargah.
