Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, in his tweet on Monday, appealed to party workers not to recite the 'Hanuman Chalisa' announced on May 3, so that no social tension is created during the festival of Eid. Significantly, on Sunday in Aurangabad, Raj Thackeray had said that from May 4, he should not hear the sound of loudspeakers from mosques. Otherwise Hanuman Chalisa will be read in double voice in front of mosques.
He questioned at a rally in Aurangabad that if loudspeakers can be removed from religious places in Uttar Pradesh, then why not in Maharashtra. I have no intention of rioting or disturbing peace in Maharashtra, Raj Thackeray said at a party rally at Kranti Chowk in Aurangabad on Sunday. I have said before and am saying again that loudspeaker is a social issue and not a religious one. If loudspeakers will play in mosques, then there will definitely be Hanuman Chalisa playing in the loudspeakers.
Raj Thackeray warned that from May 4, we should not hear loudspeakers from mosques, otherwise Hanuman Chalisa will be read in double voice in front of them. Raj Thackeray said that there are 600 mosques in Sambhaji Nagar All the loudspeakers on them are illegal.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while talking to a news channel said that the way the lockdown and demonetisation were implemented at the national level, similarly the central government should take the initiative to make laws regarding loudspeakers.
