Railway Recruitment: In the next one year, there will be 1.48 lakh recruitments in Railways
According to the latest report of the Department of Expenditure of Pay and Allowance, 40.78 lakh posts were sanctioned in the Center and Union Territories as on March 1, 2020. Of these, about 31.91 lakh have been recruited. That means about 21.75 percent of the posts are vacant, on which the recruitment is to be done.
There will be a lot of recruitment in the next one year for different posts in Indian Railways. Railways plans to recruit around 1,48,463 in a year. Let us inform that in the last 8 years, an average of 43,678 recruitments were taking place annually. However, now the railways has increased its speed in terms of recruitment. In such a situation, all the stalled recruitments will be completed in the next one year. Along with this, there will be recruitment on many new posts.
In fact, on behalf of PM Modi, it has been said to speed up the recruitment process in many departments and ministries. It has also been claimed that 10 lakh jobs will be given in the next 18 months. After the announcement of PM Modi, most of the ministries are in action. This is the reason why it has been announced by the Railways to complete all the recruitments soon.
According to the report, about 92 percent of the total workforce comes from five ministries and departments namely Railways, Defense (Civil), Home Affairs, Posts and Revenue. At present, the total strength of employees in the Union Territory is 31.33 lakh. Of this, 40.55 percent is owned by the Railways. The opposition has been attacking the central government on the issue of unemployment.
