Raids again on PFI locations across the country, 247 detained

Raids are going on at the locations of PFI in many states of the country. In some states including Assam, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi, police raids are going on at the houses of the workers of Popular Front of India. In this action 247 people have been detained. 44 people have been detained in Uttar Pradesh, 72 in Karnataka, 20 in Assam, 32 in Delhi, 43 in Maharashtra, 15 in Gujarat, 21 in MP. This action on PFI is going on. The number of people detained is likely to increase further.
Police action has been taken on PFI in Delhi also. So far 32 people have been arrested from all over Delhi. Protests have been banned in many areas of Delhi. There is a possibility of a big conspiracy under the guise of dharna-demonstration. A special advisory has been issued in South-East Delhi. For the next 60 days, demonstrations like torches and candle marches, especially around Jamia University, have been banned. After the order of Delhi Police, Jamia University has also given a stern warning to the students. Paramilitary forces are patrolling in Jamia Nagar.

According to the information so far in Maharashtra, about 43 people have been detained from Aurangabad, Solapur, Amravati, Pune, Thane and Mumbai. At the same time, 5-6 people have been detained after raiding in the Kondhwa area of Pune in the night.
A few days back, taking massive action against PFI, team of various agencies arrested 106 leaders and activists of radical Islamist organization in almost simultaneous raids in 15 states. Tamil Nadu (10), Assam (9), Uttar Pradesh (8), Andhra Pradesh (5), Madhya Pradesh (4), Puducherry (3), Delhi (3) and Rajasthan (with 20 each in Maharashtra and Karnataka). 2) There were also arrests.
