This is Sindhu's first Super 500 title as well as her third title of the year. After a brilliant start in the first set, Sindhu stumbled in the second set but in the third set, he made a spectacular comeback and won the title. Earlier on Saturday, she defeated lower-ranked Saina Kawakami of Japan in the semi-finals to reach the final.
Zi Yi claimed the deciders opening point but could not hold the lead for very long as Sindhu leveled at 3-all and never went down in the match. The Indian ace displayed a series of well-hit smashes and held up well to convert long rally points as she ran along the lead.
