Punjab News : AAP government sacked the health minister in Punjab , police took him into custody

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has set an example in the matter of taking action against corruption. The health minister of his own government was sacked. After that the police took him into custody. Mohali Court has sent former Punjab Health Minister Vijay Singla to police remand till May 27.

Regarding this incident, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that a case came to my notice that a minister of my government (Vijay Singla) is demanding 1% commission for every tender. I took it seriously. I am taking strict action against that minister and sacking him from the cabinet. I am also instructing the police to register a case against them. He was involved in corruption in his department, he has also admitted this. AAP party has zero tolerance policy against corruption.

Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sacked his health minister in a corruption case and a case is being registered against him and he is being arrested. The Chief Minister could have suppressed the matter but he did not. Till now all the parties had a setting. They did not even take action against each other's leaders, far from apprehending their ministers.
