Three passengers aboard the bus died on the spot while more than 30 people were injured in the accident. The private bus was going from Delhi to Siddharthnagar carrying passengers. At the same time, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has expressed deep grief over the deceased.
Police and administration officials immediately reached the spot after getting information about the accident. The injured were taken to the district hospital by ambulance and other vehicles. The local people also helped the police in relief and rescue work. With the cooperation of the local people, the police got a lot of help in evacuating the injured trapped in the bus.
According to the people present at the spot, a damaged truck was parked on the highway in Mumtaz Nagar, which resulted in the accident while trying to overtake it. The truck was parked for several days. Passengers told that they do not know how the accident happened, but they definitely remember that the bus first waved and then overturned.
