PM Modi to Address Nation at 8 PM Today, First Statement Since India-Pakistan Conflict
Prime Minister Modi's address on 13 underground, it is giving the impression of an understanding had been reached by both India and Pakistan to cease all firing and military operations effective immediately.
PM Modi to Address Nation at 8 PM Today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his address to the nation at around 8 pm on Monday, his first since the beginning of the confrontation of the two militaries, India and Pakistan, last week after the Operation Sindoor military strikes on terror targets within Pakistani territory and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India's foreign secretary Vikram Misri briefed the press in the first days following India's Operation Sindoor which on May 7 destroyed nine terror facilities. The Indian military took over with a briefing on Sunday, and again briefed the media on Monday afternoon. Now it will be PM Modi's turn tonight.
The address comes two days after neighbouring India and Pakistan reached an understanding to stop all firings and military actions on land, air, and sea from that time forward with immediate effect. The understanding was reached after four days of cross-border strikes which had raised fears of a larger conflict.
Director general military operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai identified that 35-40 Pakistani military personnel have been killed in the combat, and that New Delhi achieved their desired objectives.
Ghai is to have spoken to his Pakistani counterpart on the evening of the Monday address, the second occasion, since Saturday.

Operation Sindoor details
Designated Operation Sindoor, Indian Armed Forces took action on the night of May 6, 7 to seek retribution on the killings of 26 individuals in a terror attack, in Pahalgam, India. The Forces conducted operations on nine terror sites in Pakistan, and on Pakistan occupied territory, killing over 100 persons identified as terrorists.
On May 8, 9 and 10, Pakistan conducted attempts against some of the Indian military bases.
India had followed up with a strong counter effort against many Pakistani military holdings. Some of the military holdings targeted include Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian.
Precision munitions were applied against the radar locations of the military holdings, specifically against Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base which suffered extensive damage.
