Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid his tribute to all those soldiers who martyred in Pulwama on this day in 2019. PM Modi recalled their outstanding service to our nation.
PM Modi took to his Twitter handle and said, “I pay homage to all those martyred in Pulwama on this day in 2019 and recall their outstanding service to our nation.”
He added, “Their bravery and supreme sacrifice motivates every Indian to work towards a strong and prosperous country."
On February 14, 2019, three years ago, 2500 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar in a convoy of 78 vehicles.
The attack took place when on National Highway 44 when a vehicle carrying explosives rammed into one of the CRPF’s vehicles in the convoy and the vehicle was engulfed into a huge fire.
The incident killed 40 soldiers and the whole nation was shocked by this dastardly terror attack in the country. The international community stood firm with India in its fight against terrorism in the country.
A terror outfit based in Pakistan, Jaish-e-Mohammad, claimed the responsibility for the attack.
