PM Modi Criticizes CPI (M) Manifesto: In response to the CPI(M) manifesto's promise to eliminate nuclear weapons in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Opposition wants to make India 'powerless' at a time when two of India's neighbors are equipped with nuclear weapons.
A public meeting in Barmer was addressed by PM Modi, who said, "The Congress manifesto bears the stamp of the Muslim League, which led to partition. The manifesto of another party in the INDI alliance has made a dangerous declaration against India. They have said they will destroy its nuclear weapons. "Should our nuclear weapons be destroyed when two of our neighbors are nuclear weapons?"
Congress' alliance partners are working on orders from their government. What kind of alliance would want India to be powerless? On one hand, Modi is working to make India a strong nation, while on the other, the INDI alliance has declared India to be weak," he said.
In its manifesto, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), a member of the INDIA bloc, pledges to eliminate nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and biological weapons.

Narendra Modi also criticized the Congress party for failing to provide permanent solutions to the country's issues and keeping Rajasthanis grappling for water despite over 50 years of Congress rule.
"Congress ruled this country for over 5-6 decades, but still couldn't give a permanent solution to any of the country's problems. Who can understand this better than Rajasthan? The state of Rajasthan which gave blood for the country, was left struggling for water. My mothers and sisters used to travel miles in scorching heat to fill their pots of water," the Prime Minister said.
"No one listened to them for 70 years. When you all gave your son Modi the opportunity to serve you all, I started the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' and took responsibility for ending this crisis. Through this scheme, we have taken water to 50 lakh households in Rajasthan. But, even when Congress was in power here, they did rampant corruption in the scheme," he further added.
"It is Modi who started celebrating Constitution Day for the first time in the country. Congress actually opposed celebrating the day, their speech in the Parliament is available. It was Modi who developed the five pilgrimage sites associated with Baba Saheb," he added.
Bhajan Lal Sharma-led government has passed the ERCP project within its first 100 days, Prime Minister Sharma said, accusing Congress of blocking it.
Furthermore, he accused the Congress party of destroying the Constitution by imposing an Emergency and said his government initiated Constitution Day celebrations.
Further, PM Modi affirmed that the Constitution is 'sacred' and cannot be destroyed.
There is talk of 400 seats because Congress has not let me work for 10 years. This is why the people want to punish them (Congress) and finish them off.
"And as far as Constitution is concerned...keep my words in writing. Even if Baba Saheb himself comes back, the Constitution can't be finished. The Constitution is Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Quran and Bible for our government," he added.
In the Scheduled Tribes constituency of Dausa, the BJP has fielded Kanhaiya Lal Meena against Murari Lal Meena, a candidate of the Congress.
In 2019, the BJP-led alliance won all 25 seats in Rajasthan, with the BJP winning 24 of them. Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats. The polling will be held in two phases on April 19 and 26.
