Pakistan News : Shahid Afridi was caught by Pakistan Police, was publicly flouting the law
Afridi also confirmed the development on his official Twitter account. However, he urged the Motorway Police to ensure that 'the speed of the highway should be at least 120kph!
The Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi was caught by the police. He was later released after fine and persuasion. Actually, the former Pakistan captain was going from Lahore to Karachi. Then his car was talking to the air on the National Highway, after which he was stopped by the police. Afridi also had to pay a fine of Rs 1500.
After being caught, Afridi accepted his mistake and also got the photos clicked with the National Highway and Motorway Police personnel. He also congratulated the police for this action. Afridi said that the police has set an example by taking action against him like any common man.
Shahid Afridi, 42, retired thrice during his illustrious career and made a comeback. He played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is. The biggest turning point of his 21-year-long career came in 1996, when he scored a 37-ball century in his second ODI. This record made against Sri Lanka remained intact for 18 years. Later, Corey Anderson scored a century in 36 balls and in the very next year i.e. 2015, AB de Villiers completed a century in 31 balls.
