The Capital Development Authority (CDA) said that the fire was brought under control with the help of fire brigade personnel, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force and Rescue 1122 after two hours of effort. CDA Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon said that the shopping center and the adjoining residential buildings are being sealed till the technical team gets the relevant report. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he has ordered all concerned institutions and authorities to take immediate action. He tweeted, 'It is very unfortunate that this incident happened at the famous business centre. I pray that there is no loss of life and property. Condolences and sympathy for the financial loss of the victims.'
