Pakistan News: Clashes between leaders in the Punjab Assembly

There has been a fight in the assembly of Punjab province of Pakistan. The legislators clashed with each other. There has been a fight between the legislators of Imran Khan's party PTI and Shehbaz Sharif's party PML-N. Imran Khan is out of power. In his place, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has become the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Earlier, voting for the new Chief Minister was to be held on April 3 but it was postponed till April 6 after protesting opposition leaders allegedly ransacked the Assembly Hall. However, it was later postponed till 16 April.Usman Bajdar, a close aide of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, had resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab on April 1, after which the Punjab Legislative Assembly had called a session to elect a new leader of the House.
