On Sant Ravivdas Jayanti, Rahul-Priyanka served together in Kashi
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday reached 'Seer Govardhan' in Varanasi on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti, listened to Amrit Vani and took prasad after paying homage to Sant Ravidas. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were welcomed by many workers including Congress leader and former minister Ajay Rai on their arrival at Battpur airport.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were welcomed by many workers including Congress leader and former minister Ajay Rai on their arrival at Battpur airport.
Rahul and Priyanka reached the Sant Ravidas temple at Sir Govardhan via road from the airport. After reaching the temple, both of them bowed to the statue of Sant Ravidas and took his blessings. Both heard the nectar voice there. Priyanka met the women serving there, while Rahul Gandhi served at the langar and distributed prasad. After this Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi took prasad in the langar.
Referring to a couplet of Sant Ravidas, Priyanka Gandhi had tweeted that like every year, she will still pay obeisance at the birthplace of Guru Ravidas. Vadra tweeted that he is even more happy to visit the birthplace of Guru Ravidas with his brother today.
Rahul Gandhi also extended warm wishes on the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas. He shared a video on Twitter, in which he and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are seen offering flowers at the Samadhi of Sant Ravidas. Writing a couplet of Ravidas, he tweeted, 'There are castes in the caste-caste, which cannot join the path of Ketan, Raidas Manush until the caste does not go. Our salute to Sant Guru Ravidas.
