On Kapil Sibal's remark, the Supreme Court said, Bar and Bench are two wheels of the same chariot

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal on Tuesday said that trust in the apex court is slowly eroding and ground reality troubles a person like him, the Supreme Court remarked that the bar and the bench are two wheels of the same chariot. Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice B.V. Arguing in the case of Abdullah Azam, son of SP leader Azam Khan, Sibal argued before a bench of Nagratna, saying that it is a marriage that cannot be broken between the bar and the bench, but the ground reality bothers a person like him.
Justice Rastogi said that the Bar and the Bench are two wheels of the same chariot. Sibal also said that it doesn't matter whether he wins or loses the case, but the trust in the institution is slowly eroding. To this, Justice Nagarathna said that what the losing side feels is more important as they should also feel satisfied. The High Court had rejected his election from Swar assembly seat. It said that he was below 25 years of age at the time of election. He was not eligible to contest the elections to the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Abdullah Khan was accused of using a fake educational certificate of age to participate in the 2017 elections.
