Omnicron cases on an exponential rise : 2.58 lakh Covid cases in the last 24 hours

The daily cases of corona virus (COVID-19) in India have consistently remained above 2.5 lakh. On January 17, 2.58 lakh cases of Covid were reported in the country. With this, the number of active cases of Covid in India has accelerated 16 lakhs. So far 4.86 lakh people have died due to Covid.

As of January 17 in India, there are 11 states where the active cases of Covid are more than 50 thousand. At the same time, active cases in Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh have crossed one lakh.
