North East Team of Welcome Police solves Blind Murder Case, apprehends the accused, recovers Cash and Weapon used

New Delhi: The North East Team of the Welcome Police on Sunday arrested three contract killers and recovered cash, a paper cutter that served as the Murder Weapon, and Clothes worn by the assailants during the commission of the crime. The accused have been identified as Nitesh (24), who works as a laborer, Monu (30), who is unemployed, and Arjun (22) who is in the peanut business.

Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy, Commissioner of Police, North-East District, New Delhi said that “On 28th of March, 2022, the PCR received a call at 7:15 p.m regarding stab injury to a person which was received at PS Welcome. The Police reached the spot immediately and found that the person was already admitted to the GTB Hospital. The victim was identified as Bhure Khan, who had sustained an injury to the neck. Accordingly, a case vides FIR No. 258/22 on the 28th of March was lodged, under the sections, 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, in the Welcome Police Station, New Delhi, and the investigation was taken up.”

Mr. Sain further added that “Assessing the gravity of the offense, a team of Special Staff/NED was also roped-in with the team of PS Welcome for investigation. The joint police team consisted of SI Akhil, SI Ajay, SI Dharamvir, ASI Harender, ASI Anil, ASI Rajeev, HC Irfan, HC Saleem, HC Amit, Const. Deepak, Const. Sarwan, Const. Nitin, Const. Parminder, Const. Jagdish and Const. Rajesh is under the supervision of SHO/Welcome and in the close guidance of ACP/Bhajanpura.

The team scanned and analyzed CCTV footage of nearly 200 cameras to ascertain all the escape routes of the assailants. Technical surveillance, as well as human sources, were also deployed.

The diligent efforts of the police team paid off on the 3rd of April when a raid was conducted. This happened when an informer gave a tip to the Police, and following that, three persons were apprehended from the area of Mahalaxmi Enclave, Shiv Vihar, Delhi. All the accused were apprehended and were found to be the residents of Mahalaxmi Enclave, Shiv Vihar.

Further investigation revealed that this was an “Old-Rivalry” case. One of the accused Nitesh revealed that the families of Bhure Khan (deceased) & Mukhtiyar are the residents of the same village, Bahrain, District Badaun, UP, and are having an old rivalry. Both are in the wholesale business of peanuts. In 2020 Mukhtiyar was murdered and since then his family was suspicious, that Bhure Khan was helping the murderers.

To avenge, three persons namely Arjun, Nitesh & Monu were hired by the brothers of Mukhtiyar namely Arif and Javed, for killing Bhure khan in lieu of Rs. 300,000/- and cash Rs. 20,000/- was paid in advance to Arjun. The trio hatched a plan and attacked Bhure Khan in Gali No. 02, Chajju Gate, Babarpur, Delhi on 28.03.22 with a paper cutter by concealing their identities. As per the Police, further investigation is still under process.
