North East Team of Seelampur Police Solves Brutal Murder Case of A Youth In Mere Hours, Apprehends 7 People Involved

In a major development and a lauded effort, the North East Team of Seelampur Police solved a brutal murder case of a youth in hours and apprehended seven people involved. With this 3 major accused, and four culprits to the crime have been arrested and the weapon of the offense has also been recovered from them. The accused have been identified as Anas, Faizan, and Asif (all 22 years of age). Apart from that four minors have also been apprehended on the matter.

Sanjay Kumar Sain ( Deputy Commissioner of Police, North East District) said on Tuesday during the night intervening at about 02:25 AM a PCR call regarding the “Stabbing of a person” was received at PS Seelampur.

Following the intel, the police team reached at the spot immediately, which was the Kabadi market, near Dispensary Seelampur, Delhi and found that the injured had been shifted to hospital by the locals. The Police then reached the hospital, where the injured was declared brought dead. The identity of the deceased was revealed as Sameer (19).

After that, based on the statement of Sajid, 28, cousin of the deceased, an FIR was registered and an investigation was taken up. Sajid said, “Sameer used to run a tea stall at Chauhan Bangar Pulia. On that day, when he was present at his tea stall at about 2.00 AM Anas came and took his cousin Samir to Kabadi Market near Dispensary where his 5-6 other associates were already present. There was some heated argument that arose between them and during the quarrel, they stabbed Samir and ran away.

Hearing Sameer shouting for help, he immediately reached the place and rushed him to GTB Hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead.

Assessing the gravity of the offense, a dedicated team comprising W/Inspr. Saroj Singh, SI Rahul, HC Jaiveer, HC Navnish, HC Vikash, HC Nisha, Ct. Vipin Sharma and W/Const. Lalita under the supervision of SHO/Seelampur, Satvinder Singh Rana started working on it to nab the culprits.

During the course of the investigation, a police team scanned and analyzed the CCTV footage of the vicinity. Technical surveillance as well as human intelligence was also deployed, and a suspected group of boys was seen at the place of the incident manhandling the deceased. Their photographs were circulated for identification. Secret informers were deployed to trace them which yielded positive results.

On the basis of secret information, a trap was laid and three people were apprehended. Their identities were established as Anas (22), (2) Faizan (22), and Asif (22), all residents of Janta Mazdoor Colony, Welcome, Delhi. Apart from them, the four other culprits were also arrested.

During the course of the investigation, they all confessed to their crime and on sustained interrogation disclosed that Shoib Mastan (brother of deceased) and one guy named Altaf is currently in Tihar Jail. It further emerged that Anas used to work with Aftab and had affair with one girl. Sameer also had affection for that girl. Anas had threatened Sameer to be away from that girl. When Aftab told Anas about his plan to eliminate Sameer, he became a part of his plan and further helped him in associating with others. They all attacked Sameer with a knife and he succumbed to his injuries. Sanjay Kumar Sain said.
