North East Team of Seelampur Police arrests Snatcher with multiple criminal involvements, Recovers stolen Mobile Phones, Motorcycle and Scooty
In a major development, the Seelampur Police arrested a snatcher and recovered stolen mobile phones, a stolen motorcycle, and a scooty used in the commission of a crime. The accused has been identified as Farman (26), who has been involved in previous criminal activities.
In a major development, the Seelampur Police arrested a snatcher and recovered stolen mobile phones, a stolen motorcycle, and a scooty used in the commission of a crime. The accused has been identified as Farman (26), who has been involved in previous criminal activities. The Police then recovered 5 mobile phones, one stolen motorcycle, and TVS Jupiter Scooty which had been used in the commission of a crime.
According to Devesh Kumar Mahla, The Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police-I, North East District, New Delhi, “On the 8th of March, a snatching incident of mobile phone near Saini Dhana J-block Seelampur, Delhi was reported by Jitender Singh. Based on the complaint, an FIR 00451/22 under the Section 379 of the IPC was registered, and an investigation was taken up.”
Mr. Mahla further added that “A police team comprising ASI Satish, HC Jaiveer, HC Navneet, and Const. Sudhir thoroughly scanned and analyzed the CCTV footage of the vicinity and figured out the escape route of the snatcher. In CCTV footage two suspected persons were seen on a Scooty TVS Jupiter Ivory color. Later, through the local human intelligence one suspicious person was identified. On the instance of an informer, a raid was conducted and a person sitting on a TVS Jupiter Scooty was apprehended near G.T. Road Near Metro Mall, Seelampur, Delhi and. During cursory search 05 mobile phones were recovered from his pockets for which he could not reply satisfactorily. His identity was established as Farman, who confessed to his crime and disclosed his involvements in other criminal cases.”
Later on after further investigation, one motorcycle Passion Pro No. DL-1SX-5340 stolen vide e-FIR No. 006396/22 u/s 379 IPC PS-Seelampur, Delhi was also recovered from the area of Shastri Park. On sustained interrogation his previous involvements in other cases of Theft/Snatching/Robbery and Arms Act also surfaced. Sincere efforts are being made to nab his associate and further investigation into the case is in progress.
