North East Delhi Police nabbed three active robbers in Bhajanpura

On February 2, 2022, during area patrolling, the police team comprising HC Siddhart, HC Krishan, Const. Sanjay Yadav and Const. Arun reached near Dispensary Chowk, Bhajanpura.
“At about 06.45 PM, three persons tripling on a Scooty coming from Delhi Darbar road were signalled to stop for checking. Noticing the police presence, the trio immediately made a U-turn and tried to escape but the alert police team chased and caught hold of two of them however one managed to flee the spot,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, New Delhi, said.
DCP Sain added, “They were asked the reason to flee and documents related to the ownership of the scooty but they could not reply satisfactorily. On cursory search one button actuated knife and one mobile phone was recovered from the pillion.
Accordingly, a case was registered and the investigation was taken up. During the course of the investigation, their identity was established as Girish, rider of the scooty and Keshav.
On further investigation the scooty No. DL-5SBP-4935, they were riding was found stolen from Bhajanpura. On examination regarding mobile phone it was found without SIM Card and stolen. They confessed for their crime and revealed their involvements in multiple cases of snatching and disclosed about their third associate namely Umesh. On their instance, Umesh @ Rahul was apprehended near Reliance Fresh store, Delhi Darbar Road on 03.02.22. Further investigation in the case is under progress.
