However, private and government hospitals said that the cases are still very high and new cases are being reported every day, reported the Times of India. Most of the private hospitals are witnessing shortage of beds and are now using the beds which were reserved for COVID patients.
Most of these cases are not added to the district's tally as not all samples are tested by the two government-approved laboratories. Doctors also say that this year many cases of combination of dengue and typhoid are being seen, especially in children.
Meanwhile, the Health Department is continuing the Containment Survey to check the stagnant water around the residential areas, the District Malaria Officer says that 'we hope that people will continue to draw fresh water and not keep the water stored in the house. Thermocol boxes are a particular hazard and should be emptied. We are also receiving complaints about water in the basement of high-rise societies and we are taking action in coordination with the authorities.
