New Delhi marks Covid Positivity Rate at 16%, increment in the number of casualties
New Delhi witnessed 11,486 cases in the last twenty four hours, which is seven per cent higher than yesterday's number (10,756). However, the positivity rate in the national capital dropped to 16.36% from 18% in a day. However, a week ago the positivity rate was 30%, so the rate is almost halved.

The reason of worry is the increment in the number of fatalities. On Saturday, the national capital had 45 fatalities which is the highest number due to Covid after June 5 last year, which had 68 deaths in a day during the second wave of the Covid Infection.
Recently, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sent a proposal to the Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal, for lifting the weekend curfew and odd-even basis of opening of shops. However the proposal was rejected a fruitful improvement is witnessed. The alt Governor however agreed to the Delhi government's recommendation to allow 50 per cent attendance in private offices.
