The result of NEET PG 2022 has been declared on Wednesday. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya lauded the National Board of Medical Examination (NBEMS) for declaring the NEET-PG 2022 result in a record 10 days.
After getting the green signal from the Supreme Court, the NEET-PG 2022 exam was held on May 21 at 849 centers in 267 cities of the country. A total of 2 lakh 06 thousand 301 candidates were going to appear in the examination, but only 1 lakh 82 thousand 318 candidates appeared. 200 multiple choice questions were asked in the exam. All questions were in English.
Last year a total of 1 lakh 77 thousand 415 candidates had registered in NEET-PG 2021 and about 93 percent candidates appeared. According to official sources, over 1,800 independent faculty appointed by NBEMS evaluated the conduct of the examination at the examination centre.
The Supreme Court had recently refused to postpone NEET PG 2022. Dismissing the plea of medical candidates, a bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant said that the postponement of NEET PG will create uncertainty and affect a large section of students who have registered for the exam. Also, delay in examination will lead to unavailability of doctors and will seriously affect patient care.
