Navjot Singh Sidhu gets work in Patiala Jail, will not work in factory

Former state president of Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is lodged in Patiala Central Jail in the 34-year-old road rage case, has got a job in jail. It is a matter of relief for Sidhu that he will not have to work in the factory. He has got the job of looking at the files in the jail. In fact, he will work as a scribe in jail.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was recently sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court in the 34-year-old road rage case. Earlier in 2018, the Supreme Court had waived off a fine of Rs 1,000. However, the family of Gurnam Singh, who was killed in a fight with Navjot Sidhu during a road rage incident, had filed a review petition. After this, the Supreme Court sentenced Sidhu to one year rigorous imprisonment.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was allotted work in jail today. He has been assigned the task of looking after the files in the jail by the jail administration. It is said that Navjot Sidhu has not been given work in the jail factory due to security reasons. This has brought great relief to Sidhu.
According to the information, Sidhu will get 40 rupees per day as a semi-skilled labor after working after three months. After this, Sidhu will be given a remuneration of Rs 90 per day if he is skilled. This money will be deposited in the account maintained inside his jail.
